5 Restaurants to Try in the Twin Cities

Looking to try some new Minneapolis cuisine? Well, give these amazing Twin Cities area restaurants a try!

  1. Gai Noi 

Gai Noi is a Laotian restaurant located near Loring Park in Minneapolis. The restaurant is very cozy, filled with beautiful greenery and rustic furniture. 

The restaurant only accepts walk-ins, so make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare. 

The food comes out in a family-style way, meaning each dish is brought directly to the table once it is ready. Gai Noi’s basil wings and sticky rice are definitely a must try dish. 

  1. The Freehouse

The Freehouse, located in North Loop, is a step-up brewpub with all different types of food. Whether you are looking to grab calamari or cheese curds with your friends or go on a first date and get chicken pesto pasta, The Freehouse would be the perfect place with options for practically anyone. 

The Freehouse has a very chill, vibe with dark lighting and several different levels that encapsulate an upscale brewery. 

  1. EaTo

EaTo is a very laid-back Italian restaurant with many different options to choose from. It’s located in downtown Minneapolis and serves lunch and dinner. From salads to sandwiches to delicious pasta, his restaurant is a great place to visit with friends on a sunny afternoon! 

With an outdoor patio area, EaTo is a perfect place to sit with friends or your dog to enjoy the upcoming warm weather. 

  1. Nico’s 

Nico’s is a taco bar with two locations close to the University of Minnesota, one in Uptown Minneapolis and on Como Ave. in St. Paul. The staff at Nico’s are also very kind and welcoming. 

The restaurant has delicious tacos of all sorts along with signature drinks. Their signature birria tacos are a must-try dish. 

  1.  yum! 

yum! Kitchen and Bakery is located in St. Paul, right across from Whole Foods on Snelling Ave. With all types of food, including French toast, lemon chicken and salmon, yum! has options for all sorts of moods. 

yum! has a bakery section that feels straight out of Europe with macaroons, scones and cupcakes. It is the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat.
